A Day of Writing

I have finally tackled my final exam in History of Maine Women. I am riting a paper comparing Kate Furbish, Margaret Chase Smith and my mother as inspiring Maine women. My professor is off x-country skiing so she knows this paper will be late....very late! I already got an A in this course so this is just for something to do.

I am also constructing a poem of the memories I have of Maine. I've had a little help from some of my "blogger" friends which helps. I'll post it up on my page when I have it completed.

FYI: For those who are interested, today is the 48th day since I smoked my last cigarette. I'm pretty proud of that accomplishment considering I went "cold turkey" without using any of the expensive "crutches" that society has to offer. I also realize this is an addiction which I have to take one day at a time. My son has promised me a party if I go a year! I'm just waiting to see all that money I'm supposed to save by not smoking!!

Back to my writing while I'm inspired.
