Here she is enjoying her first "jar" food which is peas. Pam has tried several new foods this month, and so far - at this age - she hasn't shown any signs of being a fussy eater. I started her on sweet potatoes yesterday, and she had bananas for dessert. She is only getting cereal in the morning now. Last weekend, Pam planted some vegetables out in her back yard, so she can make a lot of Siena's food in the food processor. This is as organic as it gets!! Pam has had a difficult time finding green beans in the organic baby food section of the stores. Siena can't have carrots, spinach, or corn for a while yet as her digestive system won't digest them. Soon she'll be eating applesauce, pears, and peaches......all the yummies. I hope Siena continues to love her veggies as they are very important to her growth and overall health. Meanwhile, I can't wait to see what new things she surprises us with in her 5th month.

The Best Job in the World
Being a grandmother is one of the best jobs in the world. I am very fortunate to live close to my latest grandchild and be a part of her growing up. I look forward to Mondays every week, as that is my day to watch Siena while Mommy works. It's hard to fathom she will be 5 months old in a week....where does the time go? May has been an exceptional month for Siena as she has mastered several new things. Eating solid foods is one of them.
