The Month Lent Begins

It's hard to believe January has come and gone, and we are into the 2nd month of the new year. February is the shortest month of the year and can be the cruelest is some parts of the country. This is visitation month at Pam's house. Pam's father was there last week and her best friend - Missie - is here this week from Maine. Siena continues to make great progress. Her big blue eyes and attention span fascinate me for an infant so young. When she grasps your finger, she has a grip like a rock climber.

Sasha had her annual physical and two shots last week. She is 12 pounds of trouble and "healthy as a horse" (did anyone ever question what that means?) She has a new cat carrier now which makes it much easier to take her in the car. She can see out so she doesn't cry like she used to.

FYI: We have no snow on the ground....and it is February!!! Temperatures are running above normal most days with a few days in the 40s. Bummer, huh? I had 73 years of cold, snowy winters; so I'm glad I can spend my remaining days on earth in a milder environment.

The left picture is Sasha in her new cat carrier. The right picture is Chloe - Pam's cat - in my hot dish carrier. These girls both love to get into things.

I'm glad you are enjoying the 'warm' weather! Stinker!!! Oh well, such is life. Maybe when I'm an 'ole lady, I will move to a warmer place. Who knows. I might not live that long!

The dish carrier is actually for hot and cold. At the time Chloe got into it, it was just sitting on the counter from the night before....but your theme is well taken.
