Partial Family Reunion

The Michigan portion of my family are here this week in Colorado on vacation. My oldest daughter, Brenda, with her husband,Brian and their youngest son,Bradley. Their daughter, Breanna, now lives in Rock Springs,Wy. with her fiance,Brian...who is running the camera, and were down this weekend to see her parents. Pam has had anywhere between 3-5 extra people at her house since Thursday. They have gone to the Denver Science Museum, white-water rafting, camping, shopping, etc. We have eaten at Pam's from the grill, at Chilis with Breanna and her fiance, and a special Fathers Day dinner which included Rob's mother in Broomfield. It has been wonderful to see tham all together for once, as we all live in different parts of the country now. Pam and Rob are on vacation this week so they can spend time with every one. Breanna and Brian went home to Wyoming Sunday afternoon as they are both working now and have early morning jobs. Brenda, Brian, and Bradley will be heading home Thursday of this week as they have some stops to make along the way. With temperatures in the 90s here all week, it has been excellent vacation weather. They hit a strong thunderstorm in Iowa on the way here which included some golfball-size hail....which dinged up Brian's new pickup truck pretty good. They are hoping to get back home without any further damage. Brian Swain would have been here to see the gang, but he had to put his 21-year old dog to sleep and couldn't make the connections in time. The gang is camping until tomorrow night so its quite and peaceful here for the moment and I have school tomorrow. It was a great way to celebrate Rob's first Fathers Day.

Good for all of you. Hope everyone is having a good time. Saw on Twitter that the Veale's tent fell down in the storm and that Siena slept through everything. It is always a good time when the tent comes down and you have to put it back up!!! Have a good time!

Yes, apparently our tent stakes bit the dust a long time ago, and since we haven't been camping for a long time, we didn't realize it until it was too late. Everything was fine until the thunderstorm rolled through with a good wind. The tent came down and we spent the night in the truck - not exactly how we planned on sleeping, but it was okay, except for the fact that we didn't get a whole lot of sleep - oh well!! Other than that, we have been having a wonderful time here in Colorado.

Small correction: we ate at Chili House, not Chili's.
