Bitterrrrrrrr to Better.......Soon - I Hope

The temperatures here in Ft.Collins have been above the teens day or night for over a week. Today the highest it got was 7 above and due to go below zero. This afternoon, Pam had some errands to do, and since I didn't go to school today due to the cold, I encouraged her to leave Siena here with me while she completed what she had to do. She had stopped in to give me some milk and pick up Brandon's Christmas box to mail.Siena HATES to be bundled up in her winter
clothes...especially her hat. She was more than happy to settle in with Nana and explore her surroundings. As you can see, although her toys were back home - she found plenty to play with. She especially enjoyed doing the "merry-go-round" in Nana's desk chair and looking at the fishy up on top of the desk. The snowmen on my couch soon became her pals...until she discovered my kitchen. It didn't take her long to figure out she could open those big closet doors and find many
treasures. She went for the plastic cover box, pulled it out onto the floor, and rearranged all her new-found goodies. She never found Sasha as my cat dislikes new voices or strangers in the house so she was hiding. It was a great afternoon with a special little angel. I even put my studying for finals on hold until after she went home. It was a change of environment for Siena

and she enjoyed every minute of it. When Mom returned, Siena quickly went to her as she knew it was time for her afternoon bottle and snack. After downing her bottle, she proceeded to eat her veggie snacks. Her cute thing to do now is tease Mommy by giving her a "bite" and then pulling it back. It's a joy just to watch the new things Siena does every day, and I appreciated the chance to spend some time with her today. Now I'll return to watching the thermometer drop....more fun than watching paint dry!

I truly love seeing Siena grow up on your and Pam's blogs. Although I haven't spent a lot of time with her, I feel a special pull toward her. I love her and I love seeing Pam as a mom. She really is a very special and lucky little girl.

Glad you two had special time at Nana's house. That had to have been exciting for Siena to discover new cupboards and things to play with, but it is always nice to go home too! Good Job to everyone!
