Well, it's the 12th of April and time to change the seasons. Time to put away the winter clothes and get out the summer ones. Time to put away the skis and dig out the camping gear and bicycles. Time to take off the storm windows and put up the screens. Time to make sure the fans and the AC are working correctly for those warm days ahead. Time to put away the bag of salt and shovels, and dig out the rakes. Time to hang the wind chimes back out on the patio and find the pots for the geraniums.
The crocuses are budding; the robins are chirping; the convertibles and motorcycles are out in force around here. Landscapers are out fertilizing lawns and trimming shrubs. Soon the sprinkler systems will be activated. The apartment manager has uncovered the swimming pool with the intention of getting it cleaned and filled for a Memorial Day opening. It's been a rough winter here and I ,for one, am ready for spring! Bring it on!!

I leave my wind chimes out all year long. I love to listen to them during a snowstorm!
I never thought of that...just thought they would get rusty or blow apart in some of the windy days we have - but we have wind in the summer, too!
Yeah - they do get a little rusty, but the other part of it is that I can't reach them to take them down without a ladder. So.....it's just easier to leave them up all the time. When they get too worn out or rusted, I'll go buy a new one.
I leave my wind chimes out year round also, but my big ones died this year. I will miss them. Loved the sounds they made! Also, Ma, please send pictures of you relaxing by the pool on Memorial Day Weekend! Can't wait to see those! Will you be sporting a one~piece or a bikini? Cold glass of Iced tea in the lounge chair? Waiting to see! LOL ;) Love Ya!
I'm sure she won't be sporting either style of swimsuit, Barbara! I have never once seen my mother in a swimsuit in my entire life.
I have never seen a whale in a bikini...have you? This is the 3rd summer I have lived here, and I haven't even been through the gate to the pool. I'm not a sun worshipper and prefer to sit on my patio or in my living room with the AC on while others do the pool scene with their umbrella drinks-thank you. As for a bathing suit...I don't even own one.
