My,my,my....I sure have been lax about keeping my blog up lately! When I did the last blog in April, it was just beginning to look like spring with grass greening up, buds coming out on the trees, and tops coming down on convertibles. Today it is 85 degrees, I'm wearing shorts for the first time this year, my plants are all out on the patio, and it is great weather for my vacation. I'll try to catch you up on some of my pictures - including Mother's Day. This top picture was taken here in my apartment last summer when Brenda and her family were here on vacation. I LOVE this picture so thought I'd share it with those who might not have seen it. I believe Breanna's fiancee took this picture when they were here visiting me.

Here is the "little princess"! She has managed to get her head stuck in the bucket Siena made for me for Mother's Day (with a teeny-bit of help from Mom). The bucket had candy and some word books in it,and Sasha is a chocolate freak! Today I made myself a glass of chocolate milk for lunch and put it on the table. I went back to the stove to dip up my lunch and looked up to see Sasha drinking as fast as she could out of my milk glass! She actually emptied everything out of this bucket and then-somehow- got her head stuck. I made her wear the bucket for a few minutes while I took her picture. She's still a brat and will never outgrow her mischief,I guess.

This is a picture of the wall art Pam and Rob got me for Mother's Day. I have waited over 2 years to put something up on that wall over the fireplace, but never found something I really liked. We found this in a hobby-craft store. It is wrought iron and Rob did an excellent job hanging it.

This is a collection of my 5 great grandchildren which Barbara and Mike made up for me for Mother's Day. Note how all of Wendell's girls have large eyes. I FINALLY took down Brenda and Brian's high school graduation pictures from my bedroom wall and had Rob hang these beside my bed.
Brenda and Brian's gift to me had a little accident in the mail and had to be re-sent. I haven't taken a picture of it yet, but it was the family picture of them taken at Easter. (This was the year for "hanging" gifts. Family pictures of the Veales are hard to come by as two of the children are now adults and living in other places now.
My gift from Brian is in my Amazon account for future spending, as I live for books to read....especially novels by Karen Kingsbury, Janette Oake, and Lori Wick. These women are all Christian authors and write books about the life and times of my childhood and before. I'm currently reading a series by Beverly Lewis about the Amish. Very interesting reading.
School starts up again for me on June 1st so my summer vacation is nearly over. Big BBQ at Pam/Robs next Monday and then back to the grindstone. Hope you all have a great summer and I'll try to update again before snow flies....but that could be tomorrow here in Colorado!!

WELL. . .It's about time you did an update! And you guys all give ME crap about it! I was good and never said a word! Love the kitty, Brenda's Family and the gifts! Hope you guys have a good Memorial Day and hope that Siena gets to cook some on her new grill!
Your cat is too funny. Regarding that wall hanging, it's nice, but I think it needs to come down just a tad....no wait, a little to the left....okay, just a little more....back to the right just a smidge - uh, are you sure that's the wall you wanted it on??? :)
