What an evening....

Last night was a first for this 73-year old lady!! I actually attended my very FIRST live concert. Pam and Rob took his mother,Arlene, and I out to dinner at a nice restaurant called Bonefish Grill and then we went to the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland and saw a 2-hour concert by the Blue Man Group. It was an awesome show...music was extremely loud in some places, but I'm told that is to be expected at a live concert. This group has performed all over the world. Rob and Arlene have seen them in New York and Las Vegas, and Pam has seen them in Boston. I had only seen them on TV, but it's no comparison to seeing them in person. No two shows of theirs is the same so none of us had seen the show they put on last night. Tickets were expensive...around $40 a piece and our seats were at the very top of the events center...at least nobody was kicking our seats!!! Rob's mom says the tickets are up to and over $100 at some of their other concert venues. Pam bought me a souvenir book which I intend to add to my CM album she made about my life, along with the ticket stub and a business card from the restaurant. She got a little "sticker shock" when she went to get my book and a bottle of water for Arlene. She was going to get a little bag of M&Ms to munch on...until she found out they were $4.00!! Arlene's bottle of water was $3.00 and my souvenir book was $20!!! They really stick it to you in those places. Pam said forget the candy!!

It was snowing hard when we went into the restaurant and still snowing when we entered the concert. When we came out the temperature was down around 35 degrees but it had stopped snowing and the roads were just wet.

If you haven't seen this group perform, I strongly recommend seeing one of their shows. I'd go again in a heartbeat as they were good!

Sounds like you had a great time! When's your next concert?
