I'm sure most of you realize this is the busiest season of the year. Between shopping, wrapping, writing Christmas cards, church activities, decorating, planning for guests......it goes on and on. Hardly time for a cup of tea

Yesterday I spent 2-3 hours down at school with my guidance councilor preparing for spring semester. I need 15 credits to graduate!! However, I probably won't be able to start school until the summer session due to very strict residency requirements. Will know more in 1-2 weeks.

Today I have to finish my project so I can get started on my Christmas cards. The project, hopefully, will be included in the cards plus some spoken for here. Then I have to get my stocking gifts wrapped to take over to Pam's house - as all the stockings are hanging on her fireplace.

One good thing about this past week was I not only got telephone calls from my family, including my sister in Alabama.....but I got TWO very surprise calls from old friends back in Brunswick. I was very surprised and glad to talk to these people as we were very involved in politics back home.

YES....I will always refer to Brunswick,Maine as "home" even though it seems the town is self-destructing. Five big businesses have gone out of business already and the base isn't even closed for another year. There will be over 600 vacant homes when all the military families move to Jacksonville,Florida. This is a decrease in taxpayers...yes,military paid taxes through auto registrations, sales tax, and property taxes for those who lived in private housing. The current town manager leaves his post at the end of this month. This leaves an awful mess for the new town government to walk into.

In closing, let me say it was 72 degrees here yesterday...today it is snowing and 28 degrees!!!
THAT 'S COLORADO WEATHER.......MY FRIEND

It does suck, but that is "progress" as they say!
