Weather....whether we like it or not!!!

OKAY.....this isn't exactly the lovely Colorado weather I heard so much about before I moved out here! It has been snowing for two days now and the thermometer hasn't moved off 22 degrees since yesterday morning. Tonight it is supposed to go down to NINE degrees....coldest night of the season. Right now we have a wind chill of ONE degree. If I didn't know better, I'd swear I was back in Maine. One good thing about this storm is Colorado desperately needs this as we are very dry and our reservoirs are critically low. The total precipitation for 2008 was 10" up until this storm....back in Maine and up in the U.P. they sometimes get ONE storm with over 10" of precipitation. I can deal with the snow but I'm not fond of the cold. Hopefully, it will be back into the 70s by Friday. Tuesday it was 72 degrees and this storm came in with horrific winds Tuesday night and the snow started at daybreak Tuesday. I think Brian can use a Care Package as it is only in the 40s in Houston today!!! That is cold, my friend, for that area of the country. I keep telling myself: THIS TOO SHALL PASS.

I think we have you all beat....it is 12 degrees right now, and the high today was 19. This is supposed to continue for several days. And it snows pretty much every day now. Winter is here to stay, so we might as well all just grin and bear it! After all, it is December....

No snow to speak of here yet. Just a little bit last weekend, but it was gone within 12 hours. It is cold though!
