Winter Returns!!!

Winter has returned to Colorado! It is a snowy day here in Fort Collins with temperature around 16 degrees. Sasha has been having an encounter with a friend on the patio for most of the afternoon. The squirrel is eating something he dug out of my flower pot under the patio chair. Sasha is ya-ya-ing the squirrel as her food dish is full and she's in out of the snow. However, I'm sure the squirrel is telling Sasha at least she doesn't have to go get a shot Tuesday night! Whatever the conversation, they have been eyeballing each other for quite awhile. Otherwise, it is another dull, boring Sunday. I'm currently reading a book by Karen Kingsbury. Ironically, the title of the book is Summer. Not to fear.....it COULD be up to 70 degrees here tomorrow. Our weather patterns change very rapidly. One thing is for sure - tomorrow will be a new day.

Amen to that, sister!! It is 1 degree right now (Sunday night), with wind chill temps going to 30 below tonight and tomorrow. Brrrrrrrrrr!!!

Didn't mean to excite you "northern girls" with my weather report....but today it is about 8 degrees with blowing snow. The part I hate is the cold because it makes my heating bill higher. Going down to -10 tonight and tomorrow night. For us....that is COLD. We need the snow badly as our state is a high risk for forest fires and our resovoirs are very low.

Yes, but the big difference is that you may have a real cold day here and there, but then you go back to spring and summer-like temps. In contrast, we have the snow AND cold for about 5 months or so with no reprieve. I would gladly send you some of our snow if you really want it! And I guarantee you that your heating bill is nothing compared to ours!

My heating bill for December 19- January 19th was $107.90....and with this cold snap, it will easily top that next month.I have a budget plan, but the bill stills have to be paid sometime before the next season or they raise the budget amount.
