Resurrection Day!!

"He is not here; for He is risen...". What wonderful words these are to the believer's heart...especially on Easter morning. I wrote an acrostic poem for our church bulletin this morning, and since it is now in print - I thought I would share my thoughts with the rest of you...hope you like it:

HE IS RISEN!!!!

Hallelujah! Christ is risen
Hark; today the whole world sings.
Earth's gladdest day rejoices at dawn,
Exalting Jesus - God's only Son.

In resurrection's glory He arose;
Innocent Lamb of God who bore our sin.
Sent by God, the Father, to set us free -
Sin's seal on the tomb is forever broken.

Rejoice! Rejoice! Wipe the tears away -
Reach out, too, and take His hand,
"I live again", He cried that day;
"I am the way, the truth, and the life..."
Son of God sent our Redeemer to be
Sinless Savior who died for you and me.
Early in the morning on that blessed day,
Easter gave victory to each accepting soul.
No more doubts - no more fears,
Now go tell the World - He is risen! Hallelujah!
