Since I moved to Colorado, my best friend has been Pam's mother-in-law....Arlene LeBarr. She has been my taxi since day one and we just have a great time when we get together. Yesterday was one of those days. We left early in the morning,as I had to go to the hospital to the blood lab to have my monthly "withdrawal" for my rheumatologist. Then we went to Wal-Mart to get groceries; the food bank for our monthly allotment; the transfort office so I could get my bus pass; the Bible bookstore to look for a new Bible.....and then she took me on a mystery ride!! We ended up in the parking lot of the Olive Garden, where Arlene took me for lunch. That food was to die for! After lunch, we went to King Soopers (our local grocery store) so I could pick up a prescription and a couple of things I didn't get at Wal-Mart. We got back home about 3:30 pm. Today she is taking me to a doctor's appointment and back to the Bible bookstore to get a different Bible with larger lettering. and then we are going to a 60% off sale at Kohl's..plus our 15% off for seniors on Wednesday!! I hope to be using the bus more now that the weather is so beautiful...but Arlene will still be there for places I can't get to on the bus. Thank God for friends!!
