Oh, the Beauty of Nature

What a beautiful weekend I just got home from. Pam and I went up to Estes Park, which is about 1500 feet from here straight up into the mountains just outside of Rocky Mountain State Park. Pam rented a condo for the weekend for 8 of us for a Creative Memory scrap booking weekend, and we had a blast. The views out the windows of our condo were sensational. Note the snow on the mountains. I took these pictures from the patio of our condo. When we left Fort Collins Friday forenoon, the wind was gusting 50-60 mph and the TV had forecast high winds and possibility of snow up in Estes. Hence the winter gear you see Pam wearing. However, yesterday and today were beautiful weather with warm temps and no wind. We all got a lot of scrap booking plus a great time of "girl talk". Scrap booking is pretty much done for the summer as everybody will be busy with kids out of school, vacations, etc. I expect the next event will be in September and then the BIG crop in Denver in November. Got to go finish unpacking and soothe Sasha from her anxieties of me finally coming home. She was well taken care of by Rob, but she missed me.

mountains are so different out there than what they are out here. I remember being in awe of their size. Glad you're keeping busy and having fun! Love ya!
