This past weekend was a welcome retreat from the weather we had last week, although it was rainy and cold for this time of year. I spent a lot of it reading Message in a Bottle by Nicholas Sparks...definitely a good read, but addictive. I was up until after 2 this morning reading so I kinda slept in this morning. Not much else to do these days but sleep and read or work on a scrap book album. One can only clean a one-bedroom apartment so many times a week! I was going to start college until I found out what it costs for a non-resident. I've decided to wait until January when I become a resident. One element of celebration.....on June 1st, I will have been in Colorado 5 months, and will have been smoke-free for 5 months!
Sasha continues to rule the house. Her newest trick is to grab writing utensils off the table or out of the cup on my desk and carry them into the bedroom. She also thinks it is cool to jump up on the counter and watch me cook. The water spray-bottle is getting plenty of use as she seems to respond well to this form of discipline.
Tonight is our monthly knitting club meeting. I'm still struggling with my first washcloth...been spending too much time reading. Hopefully, my hands will be pain-free enough tonight so I can work on my knitting with the other "girls". It's a lot of fun and reminds me of a bunch of Desperate Housewives out on the town complaining or comparing hot issues of the day. Guess that's where the club got it's name...Stitch 'N Bitch.
