This will be my first fall away from Maine, and I have many memories of this time of year. I miss seeing the squirrels gathering their winter food, as there are no oak trees out here in Colorado. I miss taking the sun visor and the sun screen out of the car and turning the AC to heat and loading the scrapper and snow brush into the trunk of the car, as I have no car out here in Colorado. I miss going apple picking with Barbara and Mike in Woolwich....nothing beats sinking your teeth into a freshly picked apple or smelling home-made applesauce cooking on the back burner. I also miss putting up the fall decorations in anticipation of Halloween and Thanksgiving, as I left most of that stuff in Maine. Further back in my memory bank, I can see my Dad taking off the screens and putting up the storm windows; digging out the door draft stoppers; and banking the house around the foundation to help save heating costs.
I think the thing I'll miss the most is the beautiful fall foliage between Brunswick and Bath Rt.#l. We have foliage out here but it is predominately yellow as Colorado is the home of aspen trees.
Fall is my favorite season of the year and wherever I am living - I will always enjoy my surroundings and look ahead to my 1st anniversary of living here in Colorado.

As soon as I learn how to post pictures on this thing, I'll send you some of the foliage! Love Ya, Barb
Everything's turning red & orange! It's so pretty but not quite peak yet!
We have squirrels! There are 3-4 who keep tearing up our yard "in search of food." If you want them, they are yours!
