My goodness....I have been very tardy in keeping up my blog page. Been too busy reading, I guess. Yesterday was another first for me. I went "baby shopping" with Pam and Rob and we had soft pretzels for lunch. I had never had a soft pretzel...mine was a cinnamon one and not bad at all. It's hard to believe I'm experiencing new things at my age. Otherwise, things are pretty ho-hum right now.
Yesterday was the opening of pro football season and Saturday the college games started. I watched Notre Dame Saturday and...can you believe....I actually watched the Patriots game out here in Colorado. Although they won their first game, they may have lost their quarterback for the season. Pretty devastating for those of us who follow and love the Patriots. The Broncos play tonight, but I am not yet a Bronco's fan. My allegiance will always be the East Coast sports teams.
I put up a few fall decorations last week. It's hard to believe Xmas is less than 4 months away and the election is 2 months away (Thank God). Sasha will be one year old on October 1st...lots of cards,please. Xmas is going to be a very simple affair out here this year as babies cost money...as Pam and Rob are finding out. We are just exchanging stockings and having dinner..probably Christmas Eve. I hope to send out cards and that is it for me as my funds are limited...especially with the daily increase in food costs.
It's kinda rainy and cool here today....good day to relax with my book. Ta-ta!!
