It is 4 am and I just finished reading the best book I've ever read in my life. "One Tuesday Morning" by Karen Kingsbury is a story about a devoted fireman and a driven buisnessman....two strangers with the same face. Only one left the Twin Towers alive, and remembers nothing of his past and has no knowledge of his loved ones. Karen wrote this story to commemorate the tragic events of 9/11 and a helpful way for her to grieve through the tragic events.1000 copies of this book were sent to the FDNY - four books per station. Many of the firemen have written thank-you letters to Karen telling her this book gave them a reason to believe again and turn back to God. I plan to start reading the 2nd book in this series - "Beyond Tuesday Morning" - which follows the life of the wife of the character in the first book who died in the ruins. I urge each and every one of you, if you haven't read these two books yet, to go to your library today and pick them up and read them. As the words of the song Beyond Tuesday Morning say,
Let's not move too far beyond Tuesday morning
Let's not forget all the lives that were lost
Let's not move too far beyond Tuesday morning
Remember the heroes - remember the cost.
