Sasha's Birthday

The weather here in Fort Collins is beautiful this time of year. The nights are brisk, but the days are in the 70s-80s with lots of sun and a slight breeze. Hard to believe autumn begins on Monday. The foliage is going to be beautiful this year, though mostly yellows as Colorado is loaded with aspen trees. Creeping ever closer to Xmas, guys. (oops....Christmas!!).

Sasha will l-yr. old on October 1st. She has come along ways from her birth. For the first 10 weeks of her life, she lived in a foster home until she was transferred to the Larimer Humane Society here in Fort Collins. When I adopted her on January 16th, her name was Emma; her weight was 3 lb. 2 ozs.; and she was a terror. Today her name is Sasha Emma; she weighs 11 lbs.; and she is still a terror. She is in the "toddler stage of the terrible twos"..She dumps all the trash cans in the house as fast as I can empty them; chews on the corners of pens, books....and my eyeglasses frame; refuses to let me make my bed unless I shut her in the bathroom; still attempts to strew my jigsaw puzzle all over the living room; and is just a bundle of energy!!! Despite her muschievous behavior, I wouldn't part with her for the world. She is my sole-mate and most days the only thing I have to talk to. Hopefully, some day she'll grow up and put away her childish behavior. Until she does....I'll just keep setting the trash cans back upright!
