This past weekend Pam and I spent in Denver at a Creative Memory Retreat. We lived like kings in the Embassy Hotel. The bed was bigger than my bathroom!!! Note the outside elevators. As luxurious as it was, however, Pam and I had to drink our wine from a coffee mug!! The maid took our dirty glasses on Saturday morning and never gave us clean ones...so we made do! Breakfast came with the room and their breakfasts are out of this world. Any item you can think of for breakfast was included plus excellent omelettes, home-made waffles, fruit, pastries, french toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, etc. Pam said if we had gone to a restaurant for that type of breakfast, it would have cost us over $10 a piece. We brought food for lunches and snacks. We went out to a barbecue place on Friday night and ordered a pizza Saturday night. We not only worked on projects, but got to meet other CM people and also trade products each other needed. Pam made some lovely borders and pages to sell. Weather was better in Denver than it was here in Fort Collins....they had snow while we were gone. The next big retreat will be in November again in Denver, and I have already signed up!!!
