Sunday seems to be my lucky day to update the blog. Today, Pam's mother-in-law and I drove up to Cheyenne,Wyoming; to my nephews church for services. Richard pastors the Cheyenne Berean Church - a small non-denominational church. It is about 56 minutes from my house....on a good day. We left at 9 am and as soon as we went across the Colorado border into Wyoming, we ran into heavy, pea-soup fog which lasted for the next 41 miles. We drove about 35 mph most of the way on a 75 mph highway!! The church service was very good. Richard and Toni were glad to see me and we went out to lunch after the services. On the trip home, we encountered the same heavy fog until we got back to Colorado. Then we hit rain. As we turned into my parking lot, the rain was turning to snow...and it has been snowing ever since mixed with rain. We left for home earlier than we would have if the weather had been better. We wanted to get back to Fort Collins before dark. We are planning to go back for Easter services...if the weather co-operates.
We are supposed to get between 5"-10" of snow here on the front range tonight and tomorrow. If we get it, it'll be the first snowstorm I've seen since I moved here. March is the worse month of the year weather-wise in Colorado. I have no place to go until Thursday, so let it snow. Pam and Rob are up in Copper Mountain skiing and should return later tonight depending on the road conditions for their drive home. I have Pam's car here for the weekend, so she will have to pick it up when they get back so she can get to work in the morning.
