Meet Horton

Today is our monthly knitting club meeting. Pam started this club and named it Chicks 'N Sticks.. we meet at a different coffee shop or cafe every month. Since I am a beginner in knitting, it is good for me as I can watch and listen and learn. I have completed 4 rows of a washcloth, so my progree is slow. Pamela, however, is an avid knitter. She has made kitty toys, sweaters, scarfs, a baby bunting/hat, and several baby hats. Her latest creation is Horton. Horton is a gray stuffed animal elephant which is going to be adorable when he is finished. He still needs two arms and a tail and eyes. When I watch Pam using 4 needles to knit his legs and arms, I wonder if I'll ever be a good enough knitter to accomplish that. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks....but I'm hanging in there. It's quite different than my plastic canvas projects but I know I'll learn to knit a scarf....someday!!!

FYI - Horton is purple (lavender, actually) not gray. To see pictures of the completed elephant, visit themigliores.com
