We're Going to Set a Record

Today is the 14th straight day here in Fort Collins with temperatures over 90 degrees. Two more days of these temps and we will have broken a state record....yipee!! Yesterday afternoon Pam, Rob, and I escaped the heat for awhile by going to see Wall.E. Great movie...I recommend it to anybody of any age. It reminded me a lot of the old movie,,,,ET.

I am currently reading the Christmas Box trilogy written by Richard Paul Evans. These three books are awesome. The Christmas Box is a holiday classic that has been read by over seven million people. The Gift tells a story of everyday life and how things don't always turn out the way we wish they would. I haven't started Finding Noel yet. I am currently reading Evan's book The Carousel, which so far, is very compelling.

I expect I will be very busy this week as Pam and Rob are in the air as I type...on their way to NY/NJ for his grandfather's funeral. His mother left last week and left me with her car. I will be going over daily to water all the shrubbery/flowers as it is so dry here, we have to water daily. The kitties will look forward to seeing me also as I usually watch them when their mommy and daddy are gone. Pam and Rob will be home around midnight on Thursday, as far as we know now. Arlene will be staying with her mother for a few weeks. These kids have had a summer of living out of suitcases!!

Have to go do a load of laundry....I do try to fit in a little housework around my reading...if it doesn't inconvenience me too much!
