Well, the big day finally arrived! After living here in Fort Collins for 9 1/2 months.....I finally took my first ride on the big bus. I went to the library to return and pick up books. I had to make a transfer from one bus to another in both directions and managed to handle the whole ordeal quite well. I felt like a kid on her first day of school. Now I need to get myself a small bag on wheels so I can go to the grocery store and pick up 1-2 items or get my prescriptions by myself. To most of you, this probably doesn't sound like a big deal, but considering I came here from a small town and never rode public transportation before....it was a big deal for me. Wonder what my next big feat will be???

You should post an update that you actually took the bus 2 days in a row. Proud of you for finally taking this step towards transportational independence!
