We are well into the autumnal season and it's time for some changes. The lawn furniture is being replaced by fallen leaves while "buttoning up" the homestead seems to be the order for the day. As many activities move indoors for the winter and holiday feasts are soon upon us, added weight for most of us will soon be evident. Animals face the same problems with becoming overweight as humans do.
Sasha is no exception to this rule. She is currently a 12 pound healthy terror, but I am getting concerned about her weight gain as she is only a year old. Therefore, I have started her on an exercise program....yes, you can teach cats!! I have found that giving her catnip 1-2 times a week creates a lot of exercises of her own device. I have taught her several types of exercise and she looks so cute doing them. Some of them I couldn;t take pictures of as I couldn't hold a camera and the toys I was using at the same time. I have also cut back on her daily amount of food. NOW....if some of these ideas rub off on me...that wouldn't hurt!!
